White Rose – Symbol of Innocence and Purity

We all love flowers, no matter what color or type it is.  It is one of the very few things common in almost everyone’s list of favorite. Flowers also do make amazing gifts for happy occasions. The most amazing quality of flowers is that they bring smile on your face at the instant you look at them.  Rose is the queen of flowers and white rose is the symbol of innocence and purity.

A bouquet of white roses display to its best advantage the formal and structural beauty of a white rose. The white rose is the queen of the bridal bouquet. The white rose is a fitting way to honour a friend or loved one in recognition of a new beginning or a farewell. Without any vibrant colour to upstage it, the pure white color conveys respect, pays homage to new beginnings and expresses hope for ht future.

The significance of white rose is engraved in the pages of ancient history too. Way back in 14th century, there was a series of dynastic wars between the houses of Lancaster and York for the throne of England. The White Rose was the heraldic sign of the Duke of York.

Today, white rose has retained its associations with both pure love and formal ceremonies such as anniversaries, christenings and graduations.
